In Memory of Curt From Dad
First of all, myself and the rest of the Hennig families Thank You all
for coming, writing and calling.
No Father should have to write his son's epitaph. This is the hardest
day of my life. Curt and my whole family are
very special. Curt, Husband, Father, Son, Friend.
One lyric from the Harry Chapin song, "I Wanna Be A Lot Like You, Dad,
I Wanna Be A Lot Like You." Curt always wanted to be a wrestler. So we
started at the beginning at the age of
six. Learn the basics and work on your body, and listen and be smart. I
said, "Curt, start with those arms and listen, when those arms
measure 17 inches I'll give you $5,000." Little did I know, it would
happen so soon. I had to make payments.
Curt asked, "What is pro wrestling like, Dad?" I
said, "Curt, picture a wild stormy ocean and you are in a small
boat and a long way from shore. And to survive you've got to make
it to the shore on your own, and it's not easy." Later on, that
storm became the "PERFECT STORM." But you did it, son.
Curt had 100% ability, 100% body, 100% agility, 100% attitude, and 100%
good guy. Unfortunately, only 50% attention of the wrestling promoters.
We, the Henning's don't look back. We look to the future and today is
no different to my children and my 15 grandchildren. We keep going hard
and strong to the future.
A philosopher once said, "Nor should the battle go to the brave, nor
the race to the swift, nor riches to the rich, but time and chance
happens to us all."
Curt, you were there, you had the chance and you
did it.
We are all PROUD
I love you, son and buddy
Dad
